What’s New In July
Rodrigo Gracie Visits Our Gym:
On July Thursday, July 22nd and Friday, July 23rd, Rodrigo Gracie will be visiting our gym. On Thursday, Rodrigo
will be teaching seminars for peewees from 4:00-4:45pm, kids from 5:00-6:00pm and adults from 6:00-9:00pm.
Then on Friday from 4:30-5:30 Rodrigo will be teaching a kids seminar and 6:00-9:00pm an adult no-gi seminar.
The cost of this seminar is $25 for peewees, $40 for 1 day of kids, $70 for two days of kids, $90 for 1 day of the
adult seminar or $160 for 2 days of the adult seminars. If you are interested in participating, please sign up at the
front desk. Space is limited and only paid spots will be held so make sure you reserve your spot.
5th Instructor Training Class:
We will be holding our 5th instructor training class on Saturday, July 17 from 12:15-2pm. This class will be like none
of the instructor training classes that have preceded it. This class will specifically cover techniques for teaching our
peewee martial artists. This class is open to our adult students of bluebelt rank or higher. Seasoned white belts please
check with Brittany before attending. If you fit the requirements and are interested in joining our instructor team,
please attend this class. It will not only give you the tools you need to teach, but also help your game.
Grapplers Quest:
One of the biggest grappling tournaments is coming to the Valley. Grapplers Quest, which is usually held in Las Vegas,
will be held at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore on July 10 & 11. This tournament has both gi & no-gi divisions. Many of
your coaches will be competing in this tournament and have been working hard to prepare. Let’s wish them luck as
they go out and represent for the Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Fresno team.
Student of the Month:
The Student of the Month for July is Shaun Vandervele! Shaun is in our Jr. Jiu-Jitsu program and
